I for one do not know how many Shona people were killed by the dissidents during that period of insanity. However I am certain, as sure as night follows day, that the number of Shona people killed by the dissidents is no where near the conservative estimates of 20 000 Ndebele dead.
I would hazard to say that there were fewer Shona made to dig their own graves.
I would hazard to say that there were fewer Shona people made to attend rallies and chant slogans about a party that they did not support.

I would hazard to say that there were few Shona women that had their unborn children bayoneted out of their wombs.

I would hazard to say that there fewer Shona people were rounded up and burnt alive in huts.
