The conclusion of a summit of southern African leaders on Zimbabwe’s election stalemate was delayed by disagreement over the use of the word “crisis” in a final communique.
“The delay to conclude the meeting has been caused by a disagreement on how the final communique should be phrased. Thabo Mbeki felt that including the word crisis will be inappropriate while the rest of the leaders said the extraordinary conference in itself shows there is a crisis in Zimbabwe,” said , a senior Zambian official who asked not to be named.
Before the summit started, South African President Thabo Mbeki said there was no crisis over the elections in Zimbabwe.

Of course there is no crisis in Zimbabwe. The MDC may be facing a crisis but that does not constitute a crisis for the rest of us.
As usual Cde Thabo Mbeki gets it dead right.
For the first time after taking a thumping from Zuma, Mbeki has made a sensible statement. I wonder though why he entertains that idiot Tsvangirai.
This same Mbeki guy disputes the existence of AIDS, he thinks its an American Idea of Discouraging Sex. They both have a penchant for being different and lonely many times.
They both are said to be educated without knowledge. How l dislike education because of them, l think educated people are the most stupid.
Please dont be offended if you think you are educated, just be different.
Can the peoples’ will be overturned without loosing sleep, we are witnesses and participants. Our inflation rates will be witness appropiately as always.
It is well because God is on the throne and He will see us through, as He does countless other times.
Love somebody genuinely today.
Peace and Love

As you read through the many comments thrown here you realise there are also some beneficiaries to lawlessness and they get pretty cold at the mention of Tsvangirai, Law X, Panganai and cluster of other clownes. Whatever discription you choose for him, he is the people’s choice.
May their eyes be opened to reality today, its possible this is Sunday here.
Children of Zimbabwe enough is enough, its time we call a spade a spade. Mbeki has done a lot of damage under the guise of mediating in the Zimbabwean issue. His policy of quiet diplomacy has yielded nothing but confusion and suspicion on the Zimbabwean political landscape. Is it correct that at one time Thabo was a guest of ex Zimbabwean Robert Gabriel Matibili Mugabe in Zimbabwe? Is it correct that his father and the late Vice President Simon Muzenda were both carpenters and friends in South Africa in the 1960s? This Mbeki person has become a sore in the eye for the peace loving children of Zimbabwe. Every time when Mugabe has been cornered, Mbeki is at his rescue. Recall the stance of the Commonwealth on the Zimbabwean issue and what did Mbeki do, jumped in and promised he would find a solution. Did he? I wonder! Comes the SADC initiative, then he comes up with the quiet diplomacy strategy that for the 14 months he mediated on the issue, nothing materialized and Zimbabwe went to elections under the same atmosphere as the previous elections. The only difference was this time the people were not intimidated into voting rogue ZANU PF, the wish of the people prevailed and MDC won both the Parliamentary and the Presidential elections even though rigging synonymous with ZANU PF was evident. What makes the situation worse was the withholding of the Presidential election results, which resulted in the President of Zambia calling for an SADC Summit on the issue. Although Mugabe was invited, he declined to attend opting to send three Ministers. What does Mbeki do, of all the leaders in SADC, he flies into Harare and holds a meeting with ex President Robert Gabriel Matibili Mugabe for an hour before attending the Lusaka Summit. Moments thereafter, Mbeki fools the world at a press conference as he pronounces that there is no crisis in Zimbabwe.
Zimbabweans the time has come for us to confront the problem head-on. Our real problem is with the man who happens to the President of South Africa. We need to send a message to our brothers and sisters across the Limpopo River that the predicament the children of Zimbabwe find themselves in is of Thabo Mbeki’s making. We have had enough of him and South Africa does not need a President of his calibre. Mbeki must be shown the door together with Mugabe. What is it that he is protecting Mugabe for? Mugabe is guilty of genocide and various other crimes against humanity. Mbeki cannot be his “Messiah”. Let us all march to the South African missions’ wherever we are and demonstrate against Mbeki’s meddling with the Zimbabwean issue. Mbeki must go and go now.
Go where?
Mugabe must accept defeat and go. If Mbeki was also promised land he should just 4get becoz Zimbabwe is for Zimbabweans and God. God will judge us all 4 our actions, all the blood dripping in mugabes fingers will haunt him until he dies even in the next life.
Panganai wouldn’t you want to leave in a Zimbabwe with an atmosphere of the early 1980s(without gukurahundi of course) or 1988.No tensions.Huts were burnt at a farm in Centinary, someone might have been killed in Mutoko by Zanu pf thugs, isn’t that a crisis.Do you not appreciate peace and freedom in other countries like Botswana?
Do not be surprised by Mbeki’s actions. He is one of Mugabe’s ministers,so he stopped in Harare for instructions.
Mbeki stopped in Harare for instructions.
Ok… Ngatimbosiya Mbeki/Mboko uyu haana kana basa. Fine he is dicrediting our outcry but at the same time he is losing credibility world over. Getting angry with Mbeki (Who believes poverty causes AIDS) is like getting angry with a Heral headline or worse still a comment from; Barwe, Chinamasa, Matonga, Mutasa, Muchchetere, Mutasa or some other ZANU idiot.
The big question is what can we do?…
1) Stay away is a very good first step. Its the first message to Mugabe that we do not need the region to do our work for us. While a mass protest would be a stronger statement it is not a clever move initially… Mugabe is expecting it and is armed to the tooth- No avoid it. Sun Tzu (in the art of war) Said when our enemy is stronger than us we must avoid him. There will be a time for force it is just not now. Those that have gone Tigar fishing know that you do not pull the fish in when it first bites… no wait there will be a time to bring
the damn beast in.
For the stay away to work someone must make sure that banks do not open on Tuesday. I wish I could do it but I can’t. I suggest that ZCTU talks to ZIBAWU (Banking workers Union). Closing banks will ensure that the stay away is not hampeered by selfish & shortsighted businesses and money changers. I uderstand that a lost of people are self employed and they can’t afford to miss work but this is war… You must sacrifice something. If the stay away works 50% in day one but with the banks closed it will be 75% the next day and 100% the next. Do not run the stay away for more than 4 days. We still need to allow people to make a living.
2) Civil disobediance… Now there are a lot of things here let me give an example…
Boycott the Zimababwe Dollar. If the strike works I will give more. The Zimbabwe government as bankrupt as it is now relies on printing money for both local and international transactions. That is not a secret. All we need to do is refuse to use their overprinted notes. Ask for rands or USD for your services and products. The goverenment will soon not be able to finance its local and worse still foregin transactions. How will Mugabe pay his wages. I am sure the civil servents won’t want the rubbish Gono prints. How will Gono pay for electricity, and tractors if we stop selling him our USD. LOL how will he pay for his children’s school fees?
Ok… our power is in this No government can exist without its people’s consent Mugabe knows this you just don’t… No gove can exist without our taxes or consent to use its currency. You cannot bite the hand that feeds you.
Zvinopeara izvi. For the moment lets make it clear that we are starting the third Chimurenga with this stay away.
Lets see the STAY AWAY. AWAY from what?
There is no light at the end of the tunnel now that the votes are going to be recounted. Obviously, they will be in favour of ZANU PF and they will regain control once more, thus extending our suffering. Mugabe and ZANU PF won’t let go for the good of the innocent majority who are suffocating under its leadership. God HELP!!!
No one will accept a recount. Who has been watching the ballot boxes? No-one. That is of course illegal and everyone knows that. Does Mugabe think we are stupid.
Time for a rally in South Africa. 3 million Zimbabwe refugees. Then you will see a rally to make Mugabe tremble.
Don’t supporters of the defeated Mugabe and ZANU(PF) sound ridiculous!
I can’t help but laugh at them.
Panganai I wish I knew where you stay and castrate you. Ma CIO you think you own Zimbabwe and you think you have a monopoly to fighting. We fight more than you idiots. We will track you in the New Zimbabwe muchamama
we all know the reasons why ZANU PF want to stay in power at all cost. So that they can continue accessing AIDS drugs which they are denying millions of Zimbabweans. They all have HIV and AIDS, and are living on ARVS. If they leave office, no more access to ARVS, and they will die like many of us.
Mbeki is an idiot who just want the Zimbabweans to suffer. But hapana zvaangataura pamberi paBob nekuti mupfanaka. He should just keep quiet. I don’t think at school akamboita class monitor. Please you better shut your mouth than uttering rubbish
Why should David Parirenyatwa unleash terror in Murehwa? He thinks if Mugabe loses the grip then he and his cronies will not be able to access ARVs. Please Pari stop spreading HIV to young gals. But remember your days are also numbered now
Why do we always want the region, the world to solve our problems. We just dont have the leadership that would inspire / mobilise people to take decisions to free ourselves.
Tsvangirai is good at mobilising people to vote for him but lacks the killer instict, Zanu knows it and they have exploited that ever since.
Mdc must wake up from illusions of free power because there is no such thing especially when dealing with people who went to war themselves.
The language they understand is war. Without some blood no one will rule Zimbabwe from Mdc, mark my words.
I would like to congratulate the MDC for getting 7 African leaders plus Thabo mbeki… to spend 13 hours thinking… “What is Mugabe… a despot a president or neither… How do we deal with him… should we deal with him… or he will self distract?” that was a good Job.
It is important we all have a proper perspective on what we should expect from ourselves and from others.
I do think the meeting in itself was the victory its length must be a sore point for Mugabe… I mean these guys did not find it easy to simply brush my activities aside even Joseph wandakabatsira mazuva aya …aneshuwa here? Its a very huge achievement. Mugabe can’t count on SADC to always do his ass wiping anymore… He still has Thabo for that- he may always have him.
Another victory is to have been invited to the summit… that was another huge score. See how it pained Chinamasa… it goes without saying that ZANU can’t rule Zimbabwe alone anymore they need to involve MDC as well.
The meeting should be seen in the light of discrediting Mugabe in the eyes of the entire world and to gradually isolate him from the rest of the world. If you can get him to act unreasonable/violent in front of the world you weaken his blows… If you can get him to act childish in front of the world (like you just did) you weaken his words … If you can get him to show weakness and shame like he just did he we gain courage and know that he is only human after all. He must eventually be as precluded as a boy who does not know how to behave on the playground. It would be a victory if he was to beg to go to SADC meetings like he did to the Portugal meeting. Seclusion is a powerful tool.
Whatever they call it … the fact that it took them 13 hours to come out with a statement means there is a problem somewhere… Not just a problem a huge problem.
Ok now lets get back to work… Thumbs up for a couple of things for you are doing in the coming weeks. Here are my comments on them…
1) You must continue to isolate ZANU from the world and the current foolisheness with the elections are a bonus… recounts farm invasions and all its a fiasco… play to the Gallary… the world is watching. Anything that can discredit them make sure you lure them into doing it. I have just been listening to Matonaga making an asshole out of himself link provided at the bottom of this post. These kinds of things will one day lead Thabo to forsake them- Thabo is so hard headed it may never happen. It will work on all reasoning people. People like Mwanwasa, Kabila, Khama, the Tanzania dude… gradually have the courage to say “fuck this dude”.
2) Hustle and Broadcast. Hustle for the results and hustle against recounts take this stuff to all kinds of courts. The aim here is to showcase the fact that you indeed are right. I suggets that the ZLFHR (lawyers for human rights) and Madhuku are impartial in their comments on your cases. If the Judge is going to be biased that is awesome make sure the world sees it…. You guys are celebrities make sure the camera is there always.
3) Dangle your people power by a stay away… At some point you must show your public support. Don’t ask for too much to begin with. Ask for a street protest and it may not happen but a stay away is a good point to warm people up. Get people excited about their victory over Bob… he is trying to demoralise them… by showing force and telling a lot of mistruths. Watch out for those recounts they could lose you seats and also dicourage the people.
4) Here is one that you are getting weak at… Win the ordinary police officers and soldiers to your side. One of these days they will refuse to shoot you when you come onto the streets.
5) The streets are still too dangourous. Avoid them as much as possible.
6) I am thinking about how to handle the run-off your stand is currently correct. Why should you stand if you won. The conditions for a free elections have deteriorated. I do think you can still whip their asses if someone independent handled the election. There is no way you would win with the new look ZEC.
Congratulations once again… don’t slack Hazvikoni… Ndezvashe.
ELIAS MUSAKWA STEALS VOTE AS ZANU PF DECLARE VICTORY IN BIKITA WEST B4 RECOUNT !!!!!!!!
By Our Correspondent,
MASVINGO, April 13, 2008 (thezimbabwetimes.com) – The ruling Zanu-PF of President Robert Mugabe fuelled the raging electoral controversy yesterday when it announced that it had now won the Bikita West House of Assembly seat.
The announcement was made even before the official recounting of votes has commenced.
The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission says it will embark on a recount in 16 parliamentary constituencies as well as in the presidential election tomorrow, Monday, April 14, despite a High Court order on Friday barring the commission from proceeding with such recount.
But, in a surprise development the ruling party announced Sunday that it had, in fact, won the Bikita West seat to bring to 98 the number of parliamentary seats it won on March 29. If Zanu-PF’s version of events is accepted that means Zanu-PF and the opposition Movement for Democratic Change are not on par at 98 seats each before the first ballot paper has even been recounted.
In announcing the alleged victory, Zanu-PF’s Masvingo provincial chairman Retired Major Alex Mudavanhu yesterday said the party was now merely waiting for the ZEC to officially announce the results.
“We have won Bikita West following a recount and we are now just waiting for ZEC to make public the results,” he said.
“We recounted the votes and audited everything and our investigations revealed that we won the seat.”
The official result originally released by ZEC indicated that the opposition MDC led by Morgan Tsvangirai had won the Bikita West seat.
The MDC candidate, Heya Shoko, polled 7048 votes to beat Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe official, Elias Musakwa, representing Zanu-PF who won 7029.
In a statement yesterday ZEC announced that the recounting of votes would commence on Monday, April 14. The commission also announced the venue and times when the process would begin.
The MDC reacted angrily to Zanu-PF’s claim of victory, saying the commission was in contempt of court if it had allowed any interested party to do the recounting.
“We are going to make sure that Zanu-PF does not continue to break the law,” said Tongai Matutu an MDC official in Masvingo.
“We had a high court order and now someone just comes and claims victory,” he said. “This shows that everything that is happening now is chaotic.”
I believe the country is in the army’s hands at the moment. by refusing to owner the election results of the 29/03/08. they said before the elections that no one will take it from them. That’s true. Elections to them were of no use. What they dont want is to loose what they have stolen if someone will take the rule. But we can not let people suffer because of them. They must go.
Mbeki’s issue has been there if we can remember when Bush was on his way to see Bob via South Africa, Mbeki blocked him and said he was going to do everything and giving faulse reports about Bob and nothing was going on at all.Bob is a big brother of Mbeki Mbeki can not push his brother out.Stop using Mbeki on Zim problems.People were saying Bob should agree with the out come of the results and release the remaining ones, but Mbeki said there is nothing bad he is going to see into it, even though again he flew quickly here to Brown to stop him from taking more push over the issue. We know what is behind them(Mugabe and Mbeki)
The only time when people live Mbeki out is the time our freedom will come. Mbeki is Mugabe’s spy and he can not spy him master.I am total not happy with Mbeki from time of Bush until now.People will die because of Mbeki.
Ok recount how was loking after those boxes up to now ? Isnt them ZANU PF. Who knows what was going on up to now? If they want to know the results let them re-vote then they can know proper results. He is cheating who and what for? The results must be counted there and there by both parties and announced .If they use that method ZANU will get zero. And if they want run-off now people are not happy with what you are doing with them.People’s life can not be lead by ZANU PF now. They have nothing to serve people now. People know that ZANU PF can not do anything now including anyone who support it now.We need to save our people ,nothing else.2000 results went to Court but nothing was done to recount them and all results were out within 24 hours. Why now? The Leadership need to be changed thus all.
I am worried by people who are losing focus and foresight.Mugabe and his cronies must be ousted. Why do you drag people like Mbeki in this discussion. There is no doubt that Mugabe is a hero. However, what we are saying is that he must pass on the baton to the young and energetic.Mugabe is too old to see corruption within his Government. The man is very old.His cronies are taking advantage of Mugabe’s ineffectiveness due to imbecile and useless Mugabe. If the Appraissal System is still functional in Zimbabwe then i would rate Mugabe at 1 out of 5.I think in future there should be a law which should barr all those above 65 from contesting public office.
